Bad Liebenzell - a perfect destination for Bus- & Group trips

In our spa park, the medicinial herbs garden, planetary path, experience lighting and, new since 2017, the SOPHI PARK provide interesting and exciting insights into various themed worlds.

In our historic ‚Trinkhalle‘ at the entrance to the spa gardens, Bad Liebenzell mineral water is waiting for you, which is good not only for the body, but also for the soul. Numerous souvenirs and gift ideas can also be purchased there.

Take a walk through untouched nature and experience new perspectives – the Monbach Gorge enchants young and old hikers.

If you like it sweeter, you can learn everything about the production of marzipan and chocolate in the Bad Liebenzell marzipan and chocolate manufactory. Experience live how imaginative marzipan works of art are created. Another highlight in Bad Liebenzell is the Missionsberg with museum. In the museum you will find numerous exhibits that tell about the missionaries‘ travels.

There is an exciting themed path in the suburb of Beinberg: Waldhufendorf. Not an ordinary nature trail – experience how a forest hoof village emerges and immerse yourself in a medieval world of settlers.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the pastor Blumhardt lived in Möttlingen. Pastor and place became known because Blumhardt healed a woman who is said to have been „possessed“. This woman’s house is now a museum. History comes to life in the rustic half-timbered house, the lovingly restored stoves are real gems of days gone by.

SOPHI PARK Bad Liebenzell

A walk through the world of philosophy in the Black Forest is offered. Presented as an adventurous time journey through 2500 years of intellectual history. From antiquity to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance to the Enlightenment and the modern, and a bridge to philosophers from all over the world. In dialogue with Socrates, Aristotle, Diogenes, Plato, Thales to Descartes, Hegel, Albert Einstein, Nietzsche, Karl Jaspers, Hannah Arendt, Marguerite Duras, Hermann Hesse and many more. Embedded in a poetic-philosophical park landscape with ten subject areas, numerous artistic show and marvel objects, 100 wisdoms in acrylic and original reading islands.

For thousands of years, philosophers have thought about how people treat people and why we are, what we are and what we can do to feel better. It takes a little time and leisure to learn how to reflect philosophically – based on these eternal sentences that carry so much strength and hit the heart. The walk through the SOPHI PARK with its 100 wisdoms from different eras is ideally also a way to yourself. An inspiration that stands for better understanding of your own life. With a hint of philosophy – risking a fresh start as a source of new zest for life.

Unique in Germany and across Europe. SOPHI PARK is a think and leisure park in which the sensible can be discovered and experienced with all senses.

The ‚Graf Zeppelin‘ perennial nursery planted 4,300 perennials and a number of roses in the philosophical themed garden SOPHI PARK. A bloom and color splendor that can be admired from spring to autumn.

Erkinger hiking trail

The giant Erkinger, named after the 4-meter giant Erkinger, caused fear and terror in Bad Liebenzell, according to the legend. Almost invulnerable, he lived in an impregnable tower and was up to mischief. It was only through an alliance between the Margrave of Baden and the Palatine Rupprecht that the giant was finally eliminated.

The Erkinger hiking trail can be explored from May 2020!
